I thought you were a wonderful teacher, both of people and of horses. In a couple of short hours, I gained more respect from my horse than I've seen in the two years I've owned her. She looked surprised that I was was expecting that from her. The clinic provided a base I have built on since, and we're making progress in other areas, as well.
You have a gift for this work.

I have know Evan for over a year and have been seriously training with him since last March. I have been riding since I was very young and thought I was a good competent rider. After watching Evan with his horse and talking to him I realized at 57, I had a lot to learn. Evan has taught me how to communicate with a horse, any horse. This gave me the confidence to purchase my new horse, Handy. Evan was able to try him out for me before buying and has worked with us since October on ground and saddle work. He is always patient, compassionate and encouraging. I would recommend him to anybody at any level of ridership. He will help you achieve a partnership with your horse, beyond what you thought possible.

I have been a horse owner for years and thought I knew how to ride. Well, since taking lessons with Evan Bonner since the Spring of 2010 I have discovered that there is so much that I did not know. My lessons to date have covered ground school which has taught me how to move my horse and to train her to keep a safe distance from me. At this point I can move her front and hind legs independent of each other. When I am leading her and I stop she stops in her tracks. She will back up when I give her the signal to do so. During each lesson I learn important techniques of how to hold the reins, how to apply leg pressure for backup, collection, and lateral movements. Evan also teaches better ways to saddle and bridle your horse. He gives extremely helpful advice on equipment. With each lesson I take I get more excited and interested in riding and learning new things to practice with my horse. I am looking forward to taking lesson from Evan this winter at J Eden's Ranch on Woods Road. Evan is also very patient and explains what he is trying to get you and your horse to accomplish. He shows you what he wants accomplished and then lets you try it. I highly recommend Evan Bonner to anyone interested in improving their horsemanship skills.

I found Evan on Facebook, and I'm glad I did. My mare is terrible! She bucks, leaps, rears, crow hops, etc., when I ride her. Evan told me about his articles, and thanks to his awesome tips and articles, I've been working with my mare for two days, and she's doing pretty good already. I also have a colt, and he's been giving me awesome advice, to make my colt respect me, and to not be afraid!! Evan's articles, tips and advice are amazing. I'll go to him with any question I possibly have! I almost gave up on my mare. But when I read his articles, she changed. I'll always use his articles, and tips!
